Product Description

Indications:

Benoquin (Monobenzone Cream) is a topical treatment used for Vitiligo.

Benoquin is a depigmenting agent. Benoquin is used to permanently lighten skin in people with vitiligo. Lightening darker skin around the areas of vitiligo helps even out coloring and appearance of the skin.

Dosage:

Use Benoquin exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not use Benoquin in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.

Use Benoquin 2 or 3 times daily. Apply a thin layer of Benoquin to the pigmented skin areas and rub in gently.

It may take up to 4 months to complete the depigmentation of treated skin.

After the first 4 months of treatment, you may need to use Benoquin only twice a week to maintain the desired results.

Precautions:

1. Benoquin may cause changes in the color of untreated skin. Talk with your doctor if you have concerns about possible depigmentation of other skin areas not affected by vitiligo.

2. Benoquin is not for treating freckles, sun damage, melanoma, jaundice or other pigmentation disorders not caused by vitiligo.

3. You should not use this medication if you are allergic to monobenzone.

4. Benoquin is in FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether monobenzone will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or breastfeeding if you are going to use this Benoquin.

5. Skin treated with Benoquin may be especially sensitive to sunlight or irritation. You should always wear sunscreen. Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds.

6. Benoquin is for external use only and do not get let the cream to get into your eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse it off right away if it does get on these areas.

7. Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using Benoquin and call your doctor immediately.
